Teri Wathan

Prior to lampworking Teri Wathan painted and chose oils as her medium, which she believes has enhanced her ability to create and mix new colors in glass. Seven years ago a couple friends and Teri started making jewelry and doing home parties. One particular friend used a lot of lampwork in her designs. Teri immediately fell in love with these little glass treasures and decided to take it and learn this medium. She purchased a "Hothead" torch, "How to Make Glass Beads," by Cindy Jenkins and jumped right in. There was something mesmerizing about the flame that soothed her soul, so to speak. Inspiration is everywhere she turns and she finds herself saying "wow, that's a bead" quite often! She is a self-representing artist, which simply means that 'she" creates each and every bead. She is a proud member of the St .Louis Lampworkers Society.
