Art has been in Dawn’s blood since she was about four years old.  She recalls sitting in the floor in a sea of buttons, sorting them into little piles of colors and sizes and creating pictures on the carpet.  While credits her grandmother for introducing her to crafts, her aunt encouraged her to develop her drawing talent.  Art was put on the back burner for a few years as Dawn worked in many positions including Customer Service Supervisor.  Then, one day, she realized she was not living the dream of her life.  She immediately knew that she needed to return to art, so she quit her job, rearranged part of her home into an office/studio, and bought the necessary equipment and supplies to become an artisan lampwork bead artist.  This occurred in 1994 and she started her adventure in this new direction.  She has never looked back as she has become a recognized artist for her unique, artistic lampwork beads.  It is a pleasure to introduce Dawn Scannell as a featured lampwork bead artist.

Flamingo Dancer Lampwork beads of black and maroon are integrated with clear glass beads with swirls of maroon.  Both are accented with onyx and burgundy Swarovski crystals and finished with sterling silver chain and clasp to create the look of a flamingo dancer.  You can almost hear the castanets!  The length of the necklace is adjustable, 21-22” with a 2” focal.  Matching earrings of 2” are included.
